We are happy to announce that JetBackup 5 can now be deployed automatically using the DigitalOcean Marketplace.

The DigitalOcean Marketplace is a One-Click App Marketplace for DigitalOcean users and is designed to make it easier for developers and companies to share One-Click Apps with the DigitalOcean community.

Using the JetBackup 5 Marketplace App, you can now deploy JetBackup 5 with cPanel/WHM. The JetBackup 5 Marketplace App currently supports CentOS 7 Deployments.

JetBackup Marketplace App Deployment Guide

Please review the instructions below for step-by-step instructions on how to install and configure JetBackup 5 on your new DigitalOcean server.

1. Hover over the JetBackup 5 App from the Marketplace under the Blogs and Forums Category and click “Create Droplet”.

The JetBackup 5 Droplet will install the following Operating System and Software by default:

  • CentOS 7.9
  • cPanel/WHM v98.0.9
  • MySQL v8.0

NOTE: cPanel/WHM is installed before JetBackup, and can take anywhere from 5 minutes to 45 minutes to install, depending on your available server resources, region, and other factors. Please allow up to 1 hour for JetBackup to install when deploying with cPanel/WHM.

2. Select your server Plan, Block Storage, and Datacenter Region. You can Add Volume to your DigitalOcean Droplet at any time after deployment.

JetBackup 5 with cPanel/WHM can be deployed on any size Droplet, but we suggest you deploy your server with a DigitalOcean Plan that reflects how you plan on using it and meets the cPanel/WHM Minimum System Requirements.

3. Select your server Authentication Method via SSH Keys or Root Password. Use this Authentication Method to access your DigitalOcean Server after creation. Enter a strong root password for the root user of your DigitalOcean instance.

4. Click “Create Droplet” after selecting your desired options and plan. JetBackup 5 will be automatically installed anywhere between 5-10 minutes after your DigitalOcean Server has finished provisioning.
