April is shaping up to be an exciting month for the JetBackup team and the global WordPress community. As the web continues to evolve at a rapid pace, there has never been a more important time to step outside the day-to-day, connect face-to-face, and have real conversations about the future of hosting, backups, and scalability.

This month, JetBackup will be doing exactly that, showing up, engaging, and listening at two major industry events happening on opposite sides of the world, WordCamp Asia and PressConf.

From Asia to Arizona, the mission remains the same: helping businesses, developers, and hosting providers build more resilient, reliable, and scalable WordPress environments.

Why WordCamp Asia Matters More Than Ever

There is something different about WordCamp events. They are not just conferences. They are community-driven ecosystems where ideas are shared openly, partnerships are formed naturally, and innovation happens in real time.

WordCamp Asia 2026 opens with Contributor Day on April 9 in Mumbai, followed by conference programming on April 10 and 11, with livestreamed sessions running across Lotus Room 1 – Foundation, Lotus Room 2 – Growth, and Lotus Room 3 – Enterprise.

This year’s program includes several sessions that closely align with the kinds of conversations JetBackup cares about most. James LePage is presenting “WordPress and AI” on April 10 at 9:30 AM across all three Lotus rooms, a session that should draw plenty of attention as AI becomes more embedded in the way WordPress products and teams operate.

There are also practical sessions focused on performance, resilience, and scale. Suman Basuli is presenting “Report-Only to Full Protection: Crafting a CSP Without Breaking Your Site” on April 10 at 2:10 PM in Lotus Room 2 – Growth, while Craig Gomes is leading “Design That Outlives the Build: Creating Future-Proof WordPress Experiences” on April 10 at 3:25 PM in Lotus Room 1 – Foundation.

For teams thinking about infrastructure change and operational risk, “Risk Management During Large-Scale WP Migrations” stands out. That session is scheduled for April 10 at 4:45 PM in Lotus Room 3 – Enterprise and is listed for both Mayur Keshwani and Chirag Patel.

Saturday also brings more sessions worth watching, including Craig Gomes’ “WordPress Speed Build Challenge” on April 11 at 12:15 PM in Lotus Room 2 – Growth, and the event’s Closing Keynote: WordPress Co-Founder Ma.tt Mullenweg on April 11 at 3:30 PM across the main session rooms and workshop rooms.

We are proud to share that Anand Chandwani will be attending WordCamp Asia, representing JetBackup on the ground. With sessions centered on AI, future-proofing, security policy, migration risk, and speed, WordCamp Asia is exactly the kind of environment where conversations around backup, recovery, and infrastructure resilience belong.

Why PressConf in Phoenix Is Just as Important

While part of the JetBackup team is across the globe, another will be in Tempe for PressConf 2026. PressConf runs April 8–11 and is built around sessions, conversations, and smaller-format networking for professionals driving the WordPress economy.

Unlike larger community events, PressConf leans hard into business, leadership, infrastructure, and the future of the WordPress ecosystem. A few of this year’s sessions stand out immediately.

On Thursday, April 9, Session 3 is “SHAPanel (Is the hosting ecosystem trustworthy? Does it need to be?)” featuring David Snead of i2 Coalition, Chris Ghazarian of DreamHost, Jared Sine of GoDaddy, and moderated by Rae Morey. This conversation puts trust in hosting, governance, and ecosystem accountability front and center.

Later that day, Session 4 includes “WordPress: An Outside Looking In” by Justin Livesay and “The WordPress Identity Crisis” by Anthony Ferrara, both exploring how the platform is perceived and where it is heading.

Friday continues with Session 7,  Ben Gabler’s talk, which explores the evolution of Rocket.net and how a 5-year plan turned into “Beyond the exit: How I sold in, not out.

Another key infrastructure session is a fireside chat titled “With Great Power: How the Internet Infrastructure Community Found Its Voice” with Christian Dawson and Soeren von Varchmin.

There is also Session 10, “Rage, Rant, & Rave,” featuring Emma Young, Bryce Adams, and Robert Jacobi, followed by Session 11, “The AI First WP Agency: How to Build an AI Culture to Avoid Extinction,” presented by Brent Weaver.

Representing JetBackup at PressConf is Jason Nickerson. With this year’s agenda covering hosting trust, WordPress identity, infrastructure leadership, and the operational impact of AI, it is exactly the kind of room where backup and recovery should be discussed as strategic business infrastructure, not just a technical checkbox.

What Is New with JetBackup

Events like WordCamp Asia and PressConf are not just about showing up; they are about sharing what we have been building and where we are heading next.

JetBackup continues to evolve alongside the hosting industry, with a clear focus on automation, scalability, and reliability.

Backup management is becoming more complex as infrastructures grow, but the experience should feel simpler. That is why we continue to invest in smarter automation, allowing users to schedule, manage, and maintain backups without constant oversight. The goal is to reduce friction while increasing confidence.

Restoring performance is another major focus. When something goes wrong, speed matters. Whether it is a single file or an entire server, the ability to recover quickly can make the difference between a minor inconvenience and a major disruption. We are continuing to improve and restore speed and reliability so users can get back online with minimal downtime.

Scalability remains at the center of everything we do. From small agencies to large hosting providers, environments are changing rapidly, especially with the shift toward cloud and hybrid infrastructure. JetBackup is designed to support that flexibility, allowing users to grow without having to rethink their backup strategy.

We are also placing a strong emphasis on user experience. Technology should simplify operations, not complicate them. By refining workflows and improving usability, we are making it easier for both technical and non-technical users to manage backups with confidence.

Why These Events Matter

The internet continues to expand, and with that expansion comes greater responsibility for the businesses building on it.

We have seen significant growth in digital services, e-commerce, and online platforms over the past few years. That growth brings opportunity, but it also increases the importance of stability, performance, and data protection.

At the center of it all is a simple truth: your data is your business.

Whether you are managing a single site or operating a large-scale hosting platform, protecting that data is essential. Backups are not just a safety net; they are part of your foundation.
