Release Notes
JetApps recently released JetBackup 5.1.11 to the EDGE Tier. These release notes provide a summary of core bug fixes, plugin updates, new features, and some GUI updates! Please note that “Base” features and bug fixes apply to all JetBackup versions. Panel/Plugin Specific features and bug fixes have also been added.
What’s new
JetBackup 5.1.11 (Base):
- Added a new Reinstall button for Plugins – #705
- Added a label with the database engine name to the ‘DB’ and ‘DB Users’ under the Advanced Settings – #682
JetBackup 5.1.11 (cPanel):
- We have added the ability for JetBackup to allow access from WHM resellers with no domain – #74
Telegram – Notification Plugin v1.0.0:
- We are excited to announce the release of our brand new Notification Plugin – Telegram!
- Instructions for enabling this plugin will be available soon in our Documentation.

- Updated use of DirectAdmin API to account for dropped CLI-commands – #65

Plugin Updates
S3 Compatible Destination Plugin – v1.0.17
- New S3 Destinations that encounter errors during creation are no longer saved – #31
- Added upload retries for common HTTP Request Errors and PHP Errors – #26, #17, #32
- Account Backups no longer fail if only specific files fail to upload – #19
- The S3 Log, located at
/usr/local/jetapps/var/log/jetbackup5/s3/s3.log
, can be used to see which files failed the upload.

SSH Destination Plugin – v1.0.27
- Logs now display proper total disk usage of SSH Destination, which was showing ‘free space’ instead – #30
GUI Updates
- Removed the Orphan Account Tab for end-users – #708
- Backup on Demand Button for end-users/resellers is now hidden when disabled – #664
- View Log Summary stuck when page size set to 10 – #666
- Fixed an issue causing the Disable hook button to be unresponsive – #669
- Updated confirmation messages for saving settings – #671
- Updated the license sync command within the JetBackup 5 Interface – #706
- Limited the length of the backup notes – #712
Known Issues
The resolution of these issues is currently in progress!
- S3 Reindex Errors still show as Complete. (JB5 Base #655)
- Backing up the default email on cPanel. (JB5 Base #610)
- Unable to restore multiple accounts at one time using the terminate option. (JB5 Base #630)
- Direct Admin Email Forwarders not being backed up. (JB5 Base #694)
- Success Message empty on cPanel end-user panel. (JB5 Base #753)
