We’re excited to announce the release of the latest JetBackup v5.4.2 update! This release introduces support for immutable backups via S3 Object Lock, giving you an additional layer of protection against ransomware and unauthorized backup modifications. It also includes security dependency updates, enhanced email backup and restore capabilities, duplicate/clone destination options, and a new custom scheduling option for integrity checks—providing greater flexibility in maintaining overall backup health.

In addition to these features, this release delivers numerous performance, reliability, and usability improvements across the platform. From stronger backup validation workflows to refinements throughout the GUI, API, and core backup engine, this update is focused on making backup management more secure, efficient, and dependable for every environment.
