Partner Spotlight: ChemiCloud
A Conversation with Dragos Boroianu
Great hosting companies are often built on a simple promise: reliable infrastructure, responsive support, and a team that treats customer problems like their own.
For ChemiCloud, that promise has guided the company for the past 10 years. Built by a team with deep experience across the hosting industry, ChemiCloud set out to combine strong technology with the kind of human support customers can actually rely on.
As part of the JetBackup Partner Spotlight series, we spoke with Dragos Boroianu, Chief Business Development Officer at ChemiCloud, about the company’s story, its customer-first approach, why backups are built into their hosting strategy, and how AI may shape the next stage of the hosting industry.
Tell us about ChemiCloud. How did you get started in hosting?
“ChemiCloud started 10 years ago with one very clear goal: to offer solid, reliable hosting combined with truly amazing customer service.
The team came with extensive experience behind it. At that time, everyone involved already had at least 10-15 years of experience in the hosting industry, many of us previously working for large international hosting brands.
We believed we could build something better by combining enterprise-grade infrastructure with real human support.
And somehow… it looks like we made it work.”
ChemiCloud’s story starts with experience and intent. The goal was not just to launch another hosting company, but to build one around the gaps the team had seen firsthand in the industry: better support, stronger accountability, and hosting that customers could trust.
What market, niche, or geographic region do you primarily serve?
“We mainly serve the US market, however we have customers from all around the world, almost every country, honestly.
Over the years we have built a very strong reputation in Asia, but also in Australia and Europe. One of the beautiful things about hosting is that the internet truly connects everyone globally.”
That global reach reflects how hosting has changed. A provider can be rooted in one primary market while serving customers across regions, industries, and time zones. For ChemiCloud, that makes around-the-clock support and dependable infrastructure essential parts of the customer experience.
What makes ChemiCloud different from larger, more generic providers?
“I think what really sets us apart is the combination of the latest technology with extremely skilled support.
At ChemiCloud, customers do not wait forever to talk to someone technical. There is always an engineer ready to help 24/7.
We believe support should not feel outsourced, scripted, or disconnected from reality. We also focus heavily on transparency and accountability. We do not hide behind marketing buzzwords or corporate speak.
We communicate openly with customers and treat every client with the same level of importance, regardless of the invoice size.”
That approach matters in hosting because technical problems often happen at stressful moments. Customers do not just need a response, they need someone capable of understanding the issue, taking ownership, and helping them move forward quickly.
What was the first customer, project, or moment that made you think, “We are really building something here”?
“Probably the moment when customers started sending us physical postcards and Christmas cards to our company address.
Seeing people take the time to thank us because we helped support their businesses was incredibly satisfying. It reminded us that behind every hosting account there is usually a dream, a project, a company, or someone building something important.
That feeling still means the world to us today.”
In a digital industry, physical thank-you notes say a lot. They show that customers see the people behind the platform and that the support experience has made a real difference in their business or project.
What do your customers value most about working with your team?
“I think customers value honesty, accountability, and responsiveness.
We communicate clearly, we do not disappear when problems happen, and we genuinely care about solving issues quickly and professionally.
We also avoid marketing nonsense as much as possible. We try to remain transparent, professional, and human in everything we do.”
For ChemiCloud, customer trust is built through consistency. Clear communication, fast responses, and honest support can turn a stressful hosting issue into a manageable experience.
How do backups fit into your overall hosting strategy?
“Backups are absolutely critical! At ChemiCloud, we strongly believe backups should not be an optional add-on or an afterthought. They should be built into every serious hosting service.
That is why our shared hosting, WordPress Hosting, and Reseller Hosting plans all include backups by default.
Backups can literally make the difference between disaster and success. They are lifesavers.”
ChemiCloud treats backups as part of the hosting foundation. When customers depend on their websites, stores, applications, and email, a reliable backup strategy is not just a feature. It is part of the promise that their data can be protected and recovered when something goes wrong.
Why did you choose JetBackup as part of your backup offering?
“Honestly, because JetBackup rocks.
You guys built something that is flexible, reliable, user-friendly, and extremely performant. The interface is clean, restores are simple, and the overall experience is excellent for both customers and providers.
On top of that, your support team has always been professional and responsive, which is something we value heavily as a hosting company ourselves.
That combination of performance, flexibility, and good support is exactly what we look for in long-term partners.”
For hosting providers, backup software has to serve two audiences at once. It needs to give customers a simple restore experience while also giving the provider a reliable and efficient system to manage at scale. For ChemiCloud, JetBackup fit both sides of that requirement.
Has backup or restore capability ever helped you protect a customer, recover from an issue, or avoid a serious incident?
“Absolutely, many times.
One situation that comes to mind involved a customer running a very large platform with millions of users. Their development team accidentally pushed a broken update, and within hours they were flooded with support tickets, phone calls, and chats because the application stopped functioning properly.
They contacted us immediately, and with essentially a single restore operation, we restored both their files and database from the latest backup, which luckily had completed roughly one hour before the bad deployment.
Everything went back to normal almost like magic. The customer was extraordinarily relieved and happy.
Situations like that remind you how valuable reliable backups really are.”
This is the real-world value of backups. A failed deployment, accidental change, or corrupted database can quickly turn into a major business issue. A recent, reliable restore point can reduce downtime, protect revenue, and give customers confidence when they need it most.
Where do you see the hosting industry going over the next three years?
“That is a tough question.
I think AI is slowly taking over many aspects of the industry. Customers expect things to happen instantly now, people want solutions yesterday if possible.
At the same time, I believe hosting evolves gradually. The real transformation probably happens over 10 years rather than 3.
We will definitely see more sophisticated attacks and security threats, especially with AI helping hackers discover vulnerabilities faster. But on the other side, AI will also help companies secure infrastructure and software better than ever before.
In the end, I believe the industry will become more secure, more automated, and more efficient overall.”
The next phase of hosting will likely be shaped by both opportunity and risk. AI may help providers automate support, improve security, and operate more efficiently, but it will also raise customer expectations and create new security challenges that hosting companies must be ready to handle.
What is next for ChemiCloud?
“ChemiCloud is here to continue doing what we love: offering amazing customer service and adapting to customer needs as technology evolves.
Whether the future is AI-driven, automation-heavy, or something completely different, our goal remains the same, to continue being there for our customers and helping them succeed online.”
That focus gives ChemiCloud a clear path forward. Technology will continue to change, but the core expectation remains the same: customers want hosting that works, support that responds, and a provider they can trust when it matters.
A Hosting Partner Built on Support, Trust, and Reliable Recovery
ChemiCloud’s story is built around a simple but important idea: hosting is still a people business.
Infrastructure, performance, automation, and security all matter, but customers remember the moments when a team shows up, solves the issue, and helps protect what they have built. Whether it is a small business website, a reseller account, or a large platform serving millions of users, that trust is earned through consistency.
Backups play a central role in that trust. ChemiCloud includes backups across its shared hosting, WordPress hosting, and reseller hosting plans because recovery should not be treated as an afterthought. When updates fail, data is deleted, or something breaks unexpectedly, a reliable restore path can make all the difference.
At JetBackup, we are proud to support hosting providers like ChemiCloud that combine strong technology with real human support and a serious commitment to customer success.
